If you want live/continuous syncing, you could combine Ludusavi with something like Syncthing. The downside is having to do a backup on one computer and restore on the other when you switch systems, but the upside is that there aren't any surprises about when data will be moved or changed. Right, the new cloud functionality is still driven by either making a new backup or using the upload/download buttons.
